Apple Upside Down Cake (again!)

I really, really like this cake.  I've made 4 batches already!

Yes.  They really are THAT good!

And as you can see, my sliced apple topping decor has improved.  Actually, by the second batch, I doubled the layers of apple slices so that when they shrink, the apple slices still cover the whole top.  I actually like it with the double layer, as there is more fruit!

I still keep the size at about 6 inches in diameter, it's perfect for an intimate gathering of 4 to 6, with tea!  My favorite at the moment is a flavor mix by TWG - Red Christmas rooibos!

The combination is so comforting!

And it's so Christmas-y...
